Testing & Repair
With our many years in production serving the Transit, Railroads, Commercial/ Industrial, Mining, Scientific and OEM markets with a variety of custom Magnetics and Power Supplies, POWER ENGINEERING INDS. (PE) is uniquely qualified to offer a wide range of replacements parts, reverse engineered units and repair services which include unique testing requirements and consulting services.

PE has a complete manufacturing facility which includes winding machines, assembly areas and vacuum impregnation equipment. Also available is a fully equipped and large testing laboratory, with a multi megawatt variable power station, an extensive assortment of instrumentation as well as high voltage equipment (BIL). Current calibration procedures are incorporated for all test equipment.
PE does supports all Spare Parts and Field Engineering requirements for equipment manufactured by POWER ENGINEERING INDS. and that of its predecessor companies; TRANSREX, TRANSREX Division of BORG WARNER, THIEM TRANSREX, TRANSREX Division of GULTON INDUSTRIES, POWER ENERGY INDUSTRIES (PEI) and POWER ENERGY INUSTRIES Division of ENGINEERED MAGNETICS. |

Product Development
PE works with customers to bring their ideas, designs and prototypes to a commercialized stage. PE recognizes that getting a new idea, a new product to commercialization requires both a dedicated product development team that understands the requirements for crossing the threshold between prototype and final product. |

R&D Engineering
With a wealth of experience, knowledge and tools gained in designing and developing custom power conversion products for our customers PE extends its abilities to provide R&D services. Using the latest simulation software tools ( Ansoft Maxwell, Intusoft Spice, Ansys, Autodesk Inventor, etc.) for magnetic, electrostatic, thermal and mechanical analysis PE has provided customers with innovative solutions and designs for their needs.
PE's unique capabilities of manufacturing custom made products lends itself to building engineering , bread-boards, prototypes and first articles. |
